Arguably, the coolest thing you could be doing in New York City right now. Also possibly the best thing that happened to your brain + body in general.
To my knowledge, these are the very first (and only!) Shiva Nata class in New York City. It is completely badass and hilarious. You should be there.
Shiva Nata is possibly the only ‘dance’ and yogic practice in which the whole point is to screw up as much as possible. So, what, you’re ridiculously uncoordinated? Feel completely lost watching youtube videos of it? Ever tried it and feel completely stupefied? Welcome to Starship Shivanautica. You belong here.
In our classes…
Most certainly will happen: learning of basic Shiva Nata positions, principles and sequences, a beginner’s manual (so you can continue the practice at home) that I’m putting together.
Extremely likely to happen: hilarity, silliness, moments of stunning clarity, “ohhhh this is what neuroplasticity feels like!”, deep zen, best shavasana ever.
Whom this is for: All who are curious about the flail and want to get smarter and hotter arms at the same time. All ages. All genders. All experience levels. In fact, it’s even better for you if you’ve never done it before. More neural connections! More neuroplasticity!
